The sexy novels allow buyers to create a unique personalised novel featuring their own characters and their desired level of sauciness. Buyers get to choose their character name, eye colour, car, perfume, favourite colour, pet name and much more, including adding their own personal dedication.

Katie Olver, director of U Star Novels, said: "We've seen a huge sales increase since 1st January, with a sales increase of 140%. It seems that more couples than ever before are washing away the recession blues of 2009 and are choosing to stay in and spice up their relationship with our saucy novels this year."

Buyers can choose from hot adventure classic, Indecent in Italy, sexy thriller, Spanish Sizzle, rom-com classic, Fever in France, raunchy Safari Nights or X-rated Amsterdam Lessons.

Olver, who appeared on Dragon's Den in July 2009, created personalised books for the Dragon's Den panel and received great praise from Entrepreneur Duncan Bannantyne.
